Because portraits are my very favorite thing to take, that's what most of my pictures are. People and pets have a tendency to be much more interesting than trees and flowers anyway. Over the past couple years I've gained a great deal of experience in portraiture and have begun offering sessions. I have done a variety now, from prom shoots to senior photos. I learn every time I pick up that camera!
Editing is something I have come to appreciate and sometimes enjoy doing. Other times, it's the bane of my existence. Editing a session of a hundred or more pictures gets a little monotonous, as you can imagine. Now days I prefer to keep my edits fairly minimal, though I did go through that phase of over-editing as most photographers will at some point. I'm big on natural lighting and usually, if I manage to get my ducks in a row, the pictures will work out on their own.
Every photographer has their own style, in every branch of photography. For me, in portraits, it's the faces. I love close ups; I'm want the detail! But, I try my best to get a good variety in every shoot.
