Yeah, yeah, I know it's a little late. However, I love this picture so much, I had to post it here. And the caption is nice too, so hey, I posted. In case you didn't know, this is Sir Richard the Lion-Hearted, my handsome Silkie bantam chicken.
So, I'm the new volunteer photographer for the Clear Creek Cat Rescue and this is one of the photos I got in my session yesterday. This pretty boy was one of my favorites to photograph because of his stunning green eyes. My ISO is really high here, so the grain is visible if you look close; I'm sorry for that. Upped the contrast a big to exemplify those whiskers and touched up the eyes.
I got this picture during a photo shoot at the local animal shelter. This sweet dog just looked so sad. It's probably the saddest picture I've ever taken. A touch of lighting editing on this one, the shelter is very poorly lit. I also brightened up her eye just a tad.
Haha, okay, so this picture was an experiment. See the dark horse in the front? Yeah, she's not really a bay. Actually, that's Borie, my paint (pictured in the post below). So, I was playing around and completely changed her color! It's not very good, I know, but it was just my first time! And it was pretty entertaining.
------------- Well, the word for the day was "Shadows" and I had hoped to get a picture of my shadow against the barn wall or something. However, there was no sun today. So that kinda didn't work. Here's my picture though! It's kinda shadowy... I guess?
------------- Fun picture, right? The word was "Growth" and since it's the dead of winter, a potted plant was all I had to work with. And I tried out a new editing technique to make the back ground all black. I really like how it turned out!
